September 20, 2023
The pad site is ready for the foundation work. A crew will be out Monday to drill for the foundation piers. If you look past the pad you can see the Kawasaki mule parked where the carport will be.

This was taken from the dam of the pond looking toward the pad site. We are trying to imagine what it will look like with a house up there.
September 20, 2023 more fill dirt
If you look to the left of the dump truck there is a red elipse. That is the neighbors property where the fill dirt is coming from.
The property in general has slope to it and because of that the home has a 5′ elevation change from the highest to lowest corners. We were going to need 20 to 30 loads of soil to add to the low side of the build. It turned out that our neighbor to the northwest wanted to build a pond so we were able to use their soil. This looks to be the first 20 or so loads. If you look closely over the dirt piles past the brown grass and between a couple of trees you see a bare spot. That is where the dirt is coming from.
